OUR STORY

EVER CONTRERAS

Ever was born in Fort Worth, Texas and is the second oldest of eight brothers. At the age of two, his mother was tragically murdered during the Salvadoran Civil War and was moved to El Salvador where he lived for several years. He was relocated back to the US at the age of eight where he lived an unstable life in and out of church. At a young age, he would start consuming drugs, alcohol and joined a gang- a lifestyle that would ultimately result in his incarceration. Ever was sentenced to eight years in a Texas State Penitentiary at the age of 19. It is during that time he surrendered his life to Jesus and the road to restoration began. Despite being physically incarcerated, Ever experienced true freedom in his spirit that would radically transform his life. Soon after his release, he met his wife Stacey and they would serve their local church together. Ever's passion is driven by the hope and freedom he once found in Jesus. He desires to see this generation have an encounter with God just as he once did and is passionate about equipping men and women alike to advance the Kingdom of God. Coffee & Jesus is embedded in his DNA, and you will never find him without either. Ever uses humor, creativity, and past life experiences to communicate the gospel in a way that is applicable and easy to understand.

Ever holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a third generation Credentialed Minister with the Assemblies of God.

STACEY CONTRERAS

Stacey was born in Dallas, Texas into a Catholic family. She is the second oldest of 4 sisters and was the first in her family to come to faith at 19 years old.  She had a true encounter with God when, at the age of 23, she was diagnosed with an illness that would require chemotherapy. She was miraculously healed with no medical intervention and that would forever transform her life into passionately serving God. During her childhood years, she would endure daily fits of rage from her father that would create an unstable and hostile environment at home. After becoming saved, her family would often mock her because of her faith and her father vowed never to step foot in a church. Stacey would later witness to her immediate family and would lead them to faith. The last to receive the Lord would be her father in 2021, after 12 years of prayer.  Every family member is currently serving the local church because of one YES. She is passionate about witnessing and loving the lost and has a heart to inspire and empower women.

Stacey holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of North Texas and is pursuing her credentials through the Assemblies of God.
